$ 41.99
Part number: 99A-9275
DESCRIPTION
If you're looking for a fuel sender for 1936-55 vehicles with original dash gauges. Then this is it. Updated and improved from original.
During the 1940's through 1970, Ford used wire wrapped rheostats in their fuel tank sending units. As the fuel in the tank sloshes around, the electrical contact continually rubs back and forth across those tiny wires until the wear think and break conductivity. Causing a failure to send info to the fuel gauge. All other OEM replacement senders on the market still use this technology.
This unit does not use this technology. Instead it it uses a new and improved wear-resistant ceramic circuit board rheostat that produces a much more reliable experience.
Another improvement is the use of a fuel resistant foam float that will never leak and sink over time. All of these units are also constructed of stainless steel components and will not rust like ordinary steel units.
